You will be driving:
The Lunar Roadstar - shown in the picture above. It has a Peugeot 2.5 litre turbo diesel engine with plenty of pulling power. Easy to drive. It is an older camper but with low mileage and little use over the years. It is well maintained and is mechanically in tip top condition.
- Easy to drive for the average car driver. Comfortable, excellent visibility - good views over the hedgerows for sightseeing
- Convenient & economical drive.
- Perfect for a couple, friends or small family group.
- 4 berth, however in our opinion, for more comfort & space it is recommend for 2 or 3 adults at most. We no longer hire out to parties of 4 adults.
- It includes everything you need for sleeping in comfort and cooking a meal, along with your own toilet/shower facilities.
- The cab radio has USB and MP3 player sockets.
- Fridge, 4 burner hob, oven, hot and cold running water, heater, wardrobe and ample cupboard and storage space plus complete kitchen equipment.
- All of this without compromising the care-free style this sort of holiday offers, allowing you take control of your own adventure. The perfect holiday partner
It is not really safe for travelling a family with 2 or more children.
- There are no seatbelts in the rear. However, because the motorhome was built like this it is quite legal to travel in the rear without seat belts. We do not advise children travel in the back.
- It is not comfortable to travel with, nor is it suitable for 2 medium to large dogs.
Seating & Relaxing:
The passenger seat swivels and the L shaped rear lounge has big picture windows both sides & back. Park with the rear of the van facing the beach and you'll have all round views of the coast.
It is ideal for relaxing with your glass of wine, beer, cold drinks or cup of tea or coffee whilst admiring the view.
Sleeping arrangements:
The rear lounge converts easily into a good sized double bed and there is a smaller double bunk over the driver's cab - accessed by ladder.
Alternatively, just by removing the rear cushion back-rest, the rear lounge seat provides one or two ready made single beds of good width.

For 3 people, the upper bunk layout is ideal, allowing privacy when curtained off from the rest of the motorhome.
NOTE: The vehicle does not have rear seatbelts fitted in the rear seating (i.e.lounge area). This is totally legal for this camper, but is therefore not suitable for travelling young (or any) children on the back seats. It is unsuitable for travelling youngsters - who are unlikely to sit still and in one spot for the whole journey. There is no table in front of you for support on cornering or breaking either. Please think very carefully about travelling with children.
Dogs: As stated we are happy to take 1 medium sized or two small dogs. The carpet inside the vehicle is a lightly speckled beige berber. We ask that you keep the carpet clean. If if is very wet and muddy please wipe the dogs feet before allowing it inside. If you think your dog MIGHT have an 'accident' in the van please use the plastic strip to cover the carpet. Pet stain damage to the carpet WILL be deducted from the security bond.
We are flexible with regard to dogs but do prefer you are honest in the size of your dogs when you ring us. We would rather not leave it to actual handover time before refusing your holiday hire.
Given sufficient notice, we can also loan you a wind break to make an enclosed outside area outside the camper. Although of course you are generally have to keep your dog on a lead at camp sites.
Kitchen & Cooking:
The kitchen area has an oven and 4 burner hob next to the sink and worktop with a fridge beneath. The 3 way fridge (12v battery / 240v mains / gas) has a icemaking freezer compartment which works well and keeps ice and frozen food frozen. We will set the fridge up prior to your arrival so that it is nice and cold. If you would like us to get some ice in for you just let us know in advance.
There is a full complement of kitchen utensils and cooking equipment - you could even cook the Sunday roast or a special dinner if you fancy it.
Dining:
For eating inside, the main table (neatly stored in the wardrobe) can be set up for four or the smaller table is just right for two. A further swivel table has two fitment areas, it can be used at the front of the van close to the swivel passenger seat or at the rear in the lounge area. The larger tables can be used inside or can be taken outside to be used with the 2 fold-up chairs. The chairs are part of the free equipment we provide.
Loo/Shower:
The toilet is a cassette type with electric flush. It is easy to empty - instructions and diagrams are inside the emptying compartment. Chemicals are provided as is the special loo paper. Shower fitting and basin both have hot and cold water on tap.
Wind out Awning:
The easy to use wind out awning provides a great place to relax and shade from the sun and is ideal as an al fresco dining area. It is NOT suitable for use in rain and wind - it will break under pressure.
Gas BBQ:
A gas BBQ can be provided as an extra. It operates from an outside fitment attached to the gas bottles.
Heating, Lighting & Electrics:
The heater in the lounge area is excellent. If the evenings get chilly, it takes just a few minutes to warm and to make your holiday home nice and cosy.
There are plenty of lights & there are 12 volt sockets which work from the leisure battery.
On 240 Volt hook up at camp sites, we provide an electric kettle, and can also provide extras such as Freeview TV (our area has gone digital) and hair dryer etc. There are all for use on mains electric hook up which is provided in most campsites.
You can charge your laptop up when on the electric hook up. Some sites offer broadband connections via the hookup or offer wifi. If you have a mobile dongle you can use it anywhere providing you can get a mobile signal.
Bike Rack:
There is a bike rack included in the hire fee which takes two bikes. You can hire bikes in Minehead (30 minutes away) and we have a link to a hire company which hires electric bikes from Axcess Electric Bikes in Devon
Bits and Bobs:
Because this is our own motorhome and we use it regularly, in the cupboards and storage areas (apart from the food store cupboard) you will find various items which you are more than welcome to use.
It is an ideal van to try before you buy your own
All we ask is that if you use our personal bits and bobs that you look after them and replace with identical items if you finish them or accidentally break or lose them.
