Currently the camper is only available for a handover day on Sundays.

  • This information is required on the first contact: Name & Address, age of hirer and/or driver, occupation, if clean licence/points on licence.

Festivals: there is a daily loading - please check the main menu for festival hires. If we believe a hirer is likely to take the vehicle to a festival during a long hire period, the loading still applies during the festival period even though the hire is for a longer hire period.

Once you have established with us that the dates are free and that you fit the driver licence criteria (see How to Book page), download the pdf booking form or we can post or email a copy to you - and check the How to Book page .

Tentative Enquiry (someone has made an enquiry about specific dates - but please ring because they may change their final dates)

Provisional Booking (we are awaiting confirmation and signed form, copies of documents & deposit - but people do change their minds so please to check)

Firm bookings (a completed & signed form, copies of relevant documents and deposit have been received). If however, the Security Bond and Hire fee are not received by the required time the booking will revert to Provisional and will be open to bookings from other hirers

Tentative & Provisional means the camper is still available for hire and no firm booking has been made - so it is always worth enquiring.

  • We MUST have site of those documents before a booking is 'firm'
  • We must receive the Hire Fee & Security Bond on time for it to remain a Firm booking.
  • TURNAROUND :  Sorting admin/insurance/draining and refilling/setting up of motorhome for new hirer takes a good deal longer than a holiday cottage - as does the handover.  We fit the hires around our work and cannot turn it around in less than 48 hours and we personally require two people to handle all related work involved in hiring.

Provisional 11th - 30th October. Subject to weather conditions towards end of October.  If there is bad weather forcast the motorhome is not available for hire.

Interior pipework and tanks for fresh & waste water are all drained down and filters removed owing to the fact that this is not 'winterised' and insulated underneath.  The skin is aluminium therefore pipes and all tanks underneath and pipes are exposed to weather and usually freeze causing cracks and bursts

 

 


Not available for hire during poor weather and definitely not in Nov or Dec Jan Feb

The vehicle is drained down and stored over winter.


How to arrange camper hire

If you don't get to speak to us personally, please email us.  We access mail regularly when away from the office but cannot always get to the telephone.

After we have spoken to you we will ask you to complete the Booking Form (in full), sign and return by post with the following:

  • Copy of driving licence/s (both parts if it is a photo licence)
  • Copy of a recent utility bill (last 3 months)
  • £10 Booking Fee & Deposit of £100 or £150
  • Deposit & Booking Fee may be paid by:

  • Credit Card or Debit over the telephone.  Card payments secure the dates immediately.
  • Paypal to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Paypal payments often take up to 7 working days to clear - the booking will not be firm until the payment has cleared.
  • Direct payment to our bank can be arranged - please ask.
  • Note :  Payments for full or balance of hire fee must be paid by credit card.

Please note: The company taking payments by credit card is Lingfield Correspondence (www.horse-care.co.uk) our partner company which runs the on line payment system using Sagepay a secure online merchant bank transaction company - part of Natwest bank.

Invoice: On receipt of the booking form & fee, copies of documents and cleared deposit we will send you an invoice - by email or post whichever you prefer.

Balance of Hire Fee:  (i.e. less the Deposit)

The balance of the hire fee must be paid by

  • Credit Card - as above  (not by Debit card)
  • We also offer an instalment plan to spread the cost over 4 months by credit card payments

Security Bond:  £500 must be paid by

  • Credit Card
  • The bond will be refunded in approximately 10 working days as per the Terms and Conditions.

Cheques or Paypal payment must arrive with us at least 4 weeks prior to departure to ensure clearance through our bank 21 days prior to hand over.  Please be aware that if any payment has not cleared we will not hand over the vehicle.

Remember that refunds of the hire fee cannot be made due to cancellations or non availability, or for loss or damage to the extras as explained in the Terms and Conditions, so please take out your own holiday insurance.

Festival hirers and some others, incur a bond of £1000 with stringent cleaning and toilet emptying requirements. All campers and motorhomes available for this particular festival are usually booked and paid for early in the year - ours is no exception. This is our only vehicle - it is NOT a regular hire vehicle.

Glastonbury hire usually incurs a further surcharge owing to the fact that muddy conditions invariably mean the vehicle has to be specially cleaned and valeted and sent away to have the underside pressure cleaned. This means we lose a few days business because we are unable to let it out on hire immediately after Glastonbury. A deposit is taken but this does not secure the vehicle until we see proof of tickets/camping area and are happy with the status of the hirer.

Glastonbury availability is restricted to specific areas of the festival site. We take bookings only after tickets have been obtained and a copy of tickets and specific camping area pass sent to us.  Alternatively a copy of invoice from your 'event organiser' company will be accepted. No refunds are given for cancellations to Glastonbury - we could let the vehicle out 10 times over!

We reserve the right to refuse a hire booking or to hand over the vehicle on the hire day should we deem it necessary even though all fees have been paid.

Instalments - in advance to help you pay for your holiday:

If hiring for longer than a weekend, and you prefer to pay the hire fee and security bond in instalments, we will consider taking payments over 4 months by credit card.

Full payment must be cleared 21 days prior to handover.  If you cancel the booking at any time prior to the the 21 day deadline we will retain a percentage of the payments.  Please email us about instalments and we will send full details and a Standing Order form.  No refunds are available if the cancellation is made up to and including the 21 days prior to handover.
