- We have special arrangements with the following touring sites We will happily book any of the sites for you if you wish. All are sites catering exclusively for adults.
- We will deliver your motorhome ready for your arrival and collect it at the end of your stay.
- This way you have the option to move on, or use the site as a base whilst driving out daily in your car.
- If you chose to move on we will arrange for you to store your car safely and securely at our premises. We and therefore our hirers too, must abide by the terms and conditions of the relevant site.
www.lowtrowcross.co.uk This site is ideally situated next to a pub in a great area. It is mid way between two fishing lakes. Sue & Jade offer a friendly welcome and the little shop has microwave and freezer for your use. For horse owners, DIY Livery can be arranged very nearby (just let us know). It is a quiet adults only site. The area is ideal for fly fishing and riding and of course truly wonderful walks. Wimbleball and Clatworthy Lakes are nearby for fishing. Wimbleball Lake has several other water sports on offer too. The top of Haddon Hill with it's fabulous views is just up the road - ideal for riding or a gentle walk along the top or the more serious walk down to Wimbleball. The area makes the Lowtrow Cross campsite is also ideal for couples who have different hobbies. If one of you enjoys fishing and the other prefers to go walking, riding or dog walking there is something nearby for both of you. Taunton and Tiverton are an easy and pleasant 35 minutes drive with a variety of shops, & big supermarkets are just outside both towns. Taunton is excellent for shopping too. Traffic is always light on Exmoor even in Summer.
Wimbleball Lake is the centre for the Ironman competition on the weekend of 20th June - the camper is avaliable for bookings at the moment. Camp sites get very booked up - but it is possible we can accommodate people here at our base if you are desparate.

The Waterrow Touring Park This is an award winning site and again it is exclusively for adults. Friendly and welcoming owners who are there to please. Wi Fi and lots of other facilities too including Painting Holidays. They have set up a link with us to enable our hirers to book our camper in and deliver to the Waterrow site - we will deliver it ready for your stay. Close to the small town of Wiveliscombe (Wivey for short) and village of Bampton both of which have a well stocked small co-op for supplies and village pubs for meals. ** Minehead or Tiverton are the closest big supermarket towns but the pretty little town of Dulverton is closer with a good local co-op and several other shops including fresh veg, a farm shop, chemist, newsagents, library, teashops, bakery, gun & fishing shop, a small take away fish and chip and burger cafe, book and antiques shops and a 2 or 3 of gift shops.
**Taunton is the main County Town with good shopping and all the usual branches of well known shops.
Woodland Springs site is over into Devon in Dartmoor National Park, but is well worth the visit. Another truly relaxing site catering only for adults. We can deliver the motorhome to this site free of charge as a rule, but it is a little further so there may be a small fee depending on our ability to arrange return transport. facilities and fantastically spacious pitches. Ideal base for walking and
cycling. Places of interest nearby are Glastonbury Abbey, Glastonbury Tor,
Wells Cathedral, Cheddar Gorge, Clarks Factory shopping and loads more. The

The Chew Valley Caravan site Bath is an award winning 5 star site. Catering exclusively to adults it has a garden theme and suits those who want a relaxing life and like to take time to smell the flowers. This site is ideal for visiting the historic town of Bath and the site owners offer a hire car too,so for those hiring and driving the vehicle from our base here on Exmoor there is the option to hire a car for local trips. Bingham Grange Bridport Devon
Zeacombe House - although no special arrangement has yet been agreed we include this for your information. The site is on the edge of the prettiest of National Parks - Exmoor. This has its own restaurant - and again is exclusively for adults. Possible free delivery to this site subject to confirmation of arrangement with site owners.

Another lovely local self catering cottage run by Lizzie Higson for the nights before or after your hire is Court Lodge.
This is just a few strides away from Court Lodge is The Royal Oak Inn of Luxborough which does excellent cream teas, lunches and dinners and even breakfast too sometimes if you book ahead. Landlord James and manager Anita offer a warm welcome here and Tim the chef is a renowned seafood chef. Warm log fires in the cooler weather.
Barle Valley Safari's offer a small self catering cottage ideal for the before and after hire nights. It is very close to us but gets very booked up so don't delay.
Camp sites for families:
Doone Valley Camp site Free delivery to this Exmoor site. On the Devon side of Exmoor. It is a riverside site in the famous and picturesque Lorna Doone Country. Walking for softees is good in this area as well as more rigorous walks for those with lots of energy to burn off. Trekking stables nearby. River Fishing. Minehead or Barnstaple are the main towns for shopping. About 30 minutes away.
The Buttery at Malmsmead Riverside licensed cafe and bar is close to the camp site so you have just a short stroll for cream teas, lunches and early evening pizzas take away or eat in - or just pop in for a drink. Milk and Bread and one or two luxury food items available and a gift shop next door.
Exmoor Riverside Camp site - this is a lively site in Devon at South Molton. It is a family site with fishing, a childrens play area and woodland trail. We can deliver here for a small fee.
The Quantock Orchard site - Free of charge delivery to this family site. There is lots to do and several pubs nearby.
Deliveries further afield: There are many relaxing sites catering exclusively for adults and we will if it is viable, deliver to those too. The delivery and collection requires 2 vehicles and 2 x driver's driving time, so there will be charges for both vehicles in some instances.
As an example: For delivery and collectioin to sites up to approximately 1 and a 1/2 hours drive, the charge would be in the region of £25 each way for the motorhome delivery/collection and driver, with a similar charge for the accompanying car and driver to enable the motorhome driver to return to base.
SPECIAL OFFER:
- If using any of the linked Tranquil sites, the delivery / collection of the motorhome itself (and driver time) to sites in Somerset and some areas of Devon are free of charge.
- We still have to pay another driver though, so would unfortunately have to charge for the accompanying car and driver's time at £25 each way.
- Cut the delivery cost by half: If you return the vehicle to our base at the end of the hire period we would reduce the cost for that sort of distance to just £50 in total which would still cover us for the accompanying delivery car fuel and drivers fee.
